FAQ

plainly.
Connectors, speeds, tariffs, payments and fleet accounts. If your car is at a charger right now, the 24×7 helpline is faster than reading.
Charging basics
Which cars work with Atria Mobility chargers?
Any EV sold in India. Our DC hubs use CCS2 (Tata, MG, Hyundai, Kia, BYD, Mahindra, BMW, Mercedes and
others) and our AC points use Type 2. Two-wheelers and three-wheelers can use the Bharat AC-001 sockets
at selected hubs.
Do I need the app to charge?
No. Scan the QR on the charger and pay through UPI as a guest. The app simply adds live status,
saved payment, session history and GST invoices.
Can I reserve a bay before I arrive?
Not yet. Bays are first come, first served. The app shows live gun status and, when a hub is busy,
the minutes left on the session in progress so you can pick another hub instead of waiting.
How do I know a charger is actually free?
Availability comes straight from the charger over OCPP, not from a cached guess. If a point is
offline, the app says offline and stops routing you there.
What happens if a charger fails mid-session?
The session stops safely and any unused amount is reversed automatically within 48 hours. Our
round-the-clock desk is on the number printed on every unit, and remote diagnostics usually restore the
point without a site visit.
Is it safe to charge in the rain?
Yes. Every unit is IP54 or better, with earth-leakage protection and a locked handshake before any
current flows. If insulation monitoring sees anything odd, the charger refuses to start — that refusal
is the safety feature working.
Speed & range
How fast is a DC fast charge, honestly?
On a 60 kW hub, most cars go from 20% to 80% in roughly 35 minutes. The last 20% is deliberately
slower — that is your car's battery management protecting cell life, not the charger holding back.
Why did my charging speed drop near 80%?
Your car did that, deliberately. Lithium cells take current slowly once they are nearly full, so the
battery management system tapers the rate. On a road trip you will cover more ground with two stops to
80% than one to 100%.
Why is my car pulling less than the charger's rating?
The lower of the two limits always wins. A 60 kW hub feeding a car that accepts 30 kW delivers 30 kW.
Cold packs, a hot pack after highway running, and a nearly full battery all lower the car's own ceiling.
Can I use an AC point overnight in a mall basement?
Yes, that is exactly what our 7.4 kW and 22 kW Type 2 points are for. Destination charging carries no
idle fee, so a long stop costs you nothing extra.
Tariff & payments
What does a session cost?
Indicative public rates, inclusive of GST: ₹12.5/kWh on AC 7.4 kW, ₹15.0/kWh on AC 22 kW,
₹17.5/kWh on DC 30 kW and ₹18.5/kWh on DC 60 kW. The exact live rate is on the charger
screen and in the app before the connector clicks in.
What is an idle fee and how do I avoid it?
It applies only on DC hubs, and only after your session ends: 20 minutes of grace on 30 kW, 15
minutes on 60 kW. The app pings you when charging finishes. AC destination points have no idle fee at
all.
My session failed but money left my account
That is a pre-authorisation hold, not a charge. Your bank releases it within 48 hours (up to 5 working
days for a few card issuers). If it has not cleared, email the session ID from
Wallet → History and we will chase the payment gateway for you.
How do refunds work?
Failed session with no energy delivered: automatic reversal within 48 hours. Partial session cut short
by a charger fault: we refund the difference within 3 working days. Wallet balance is withdrawable to
your bank on request within 7 working days. Energy already delivered is not refundable, and idle fees
are waived when the fault was ours.
How do I get a GST invoice for my company?
Add your GSTIN once under Profile → Business. Every session after that produces
a compliant tax invoice, emailed immediately, plus a consolidated monthly statement on the first of each
month.
Fleets
We run a fleet. What changes?
Driver cards instead of personal payments, per vehicle and per driver energy reports, and one
consolidated monthly invoice with GST. Your drivers charge at our hubs on the same app every other
driver uses.
Can we plan a shift changeover around a hub?
Talk to us about your routes and timings. We cannot hold bays — charging is first come, first served
for everyone — but we can tell you the quiet windows at each hub and which sites have the most guns.
Do you sell or install chargers at our depot?
No. We build and operate our own hubs, and we are not taking on hardware sales or site installations
at the moment. Fleet charging happens at Atria hubs.
App & account
Which phones does the app support?
Android 9 and above, iOS 15 and above. See the
app journey for what each screen does before you install anything.
The connector is locked in my car
Do not force it. Unlock the car and open the driver's door — most EVs release the port latch when the
vehicle is unlocked. If it stays stuck, call the helpline: we can drop the charger's lock remotely, and
every hub has a mechanical release for our field engineer.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Ask from Profile → Privacy or write to us, and we erase your personal data
within 30 days. Tax records for completed sessions are retained as long as Indian law requires — the
privacy policy sets out exactly what stays.
Still stuck
Ask a person instead.
Anything not covered here — a fleet account, an invoice that looks wrong, a stubborn session — reaches a specialist within one working day. Cars at a charger right now should call the 24×7 desk.
