What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
Last updated: 1 August 2026
Note. This is a sample document prepared as part of a website design. Have it reviewed against the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and your actual data flows before publishing.
1. Summary
- We collect what we need to run charging sessions, bill them correctly and support you.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- Precise location is used only while you are looking for or using a charger, and only with your permission.
- Card details are handled by our payment gateway. We never store your full card number.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
2. Who is responsible
Atria Mobility, 11 Commissariat Road, Ashok Nagar, Bengaluru 560025, Karnataka, India, is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. Contact details are in section 14.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
- Mobile number, name and email address when you create an account.
- Vehicle make, model and connector type, if you add a vehicle.
- GSTIN and company name, if you ask for business invoices.
- Anything you send us in a support ticket, email or the contact form on this website.
Information created by using the service
- Charging session records: site, connector, start and end time, energy delivered, power profile, tariff and amount.
- RFID card taps and app interactions such as filters used and screens visited.
- Payment metadata: amount, status, gateway reference, masked card or UPI handle.
- Device and technical data: device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, crash logs.
4. Why we use it
- To provide the service: authenticate you, start and stop sessions, show live availability.
- To bill and account: calculate charges, take payment, issue tax invoices, handle refunds and disputes.
- To support you: diagnose a failed session, reboot a charger remotely, answer tickets.
- To keep the network safe and reliable: monitor faults, prevent fraud and misuse, maintain equipment.
- To improve: understand which sites are congested, where to build next, and where the app confuses people.
- To communicate: session alerts, invoices, service notices and — only if you opt in — offers and product news.
- To meet legal duties: tax records, statutory reporting, and responding to lawful requests.
5. Location data
The app asks for location permission so it can show chargers near you, give walking directions inside large sites and plan routes. You can decline and still search by area name, or use the app entirely without location.
We do not track your location in the background when you are not using the app, and we do not build a movement profile of you for advertising.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways. Card numbers and UPI credentials are entered into the gateway's systems, not ours; we receive only a token, a masked identifier and the outcome of the transaction. Pre-authorisation holds and their release are handled by your bank.
7. Who we share with
- Service providers who work on our instructions: cloud hosting, charge-point management platforms, payment gateways, SMS and email delivery, analytics and crash reporting, customer support tooling.
- Site hosts receive aggregate usage figures for their site. They do not receive your contact details.
- Fleet or corporate administrators receive session and spend data for cards or accounts they fund.
- Professional advisers, auditors and authorities where the law requires or permits it.
- A buyer or successor if the business is reorganised or transferred, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with data brokers.
8. How long we keep it
- Account details: while your account is active, then up to 12 months after closure.
- Session and invoice records: 8 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Support tickets: 3 years.
- Technical logs: typically 90 days, longer where needed to investigate an incident.
- Marketing consent records: until you withdraw consent, plus a short period to prove the withdrawal was honoured.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your account and the data we no longer need to keep.
- Withdraw consent for marketing, or for location access, at any time.
- Nominate someone to exercise your rights if you are unable to.
Write to [email protected] from your registered email or number. We respond within 30 days. Records we must retain by law — invoices, for example — will be kept even after account deletion.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses only what it needs to work and to understand traffic in aggregate. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on it. Where we use analytics, IP addresses are truncated and reports are aggregated. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to any information on this site.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside the company is role-based and logged; charge-point control actions require authenticated operator accounts. We test our systems regularly and run a documented incident response process. If a breach is likely to affect you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as required.
No system is perfectly secure. Please use a device lock, keep the app updated and tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.
12. Children
The service is intended for adults who drive. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
13. Changes to this policy
We update this policy as the service changes. The current version and its date are always on this page. Material changes are notified in the app or by email before they take effect.
